More bug fixes are coming to Paldea in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet 1.2 patch notes. Nintendo announced the list of changes on February 17 and the Serebii team have since translated them into English. We don’t have a specific date for this update just yet, but we do know that it’s coming in late February.
Although Serebii has said these patch notes do not include every bug fix or feature change coming in the update, it touches on some of the larger issues affecting battling, tera raids, and UI. Firstly, the Pokémon summary menu is gaining new functionality, including the ability to change Pokémon’s nicknames, markings, and held items from this menu, making the process much smoother.
Many a meme has come out of the strange behaviour of Pokémon NPCs in Scarlet & Violet, but this patch will fix many of the issues players have experienced. Certain areas of Paldea will display fewer NPCs to prevent bugs that forcibly closed the game, and passersby will no longer appear during certain battles that take place in towns during the main story. Hopefully this means no more pedestrians walking through your Pokémon!
A range of bugs affecting tera raids are set to be fixed too, including HP fluctuation and errors with the tera Pokémon and a range of visual errors. Terastalised Zoroark has been causing a lot of bugs on its own, confusing even the game’s code with its Illusion ability and messing with the type advantages of its moves.
Competitive Pokémon VGC players will be pleased to hear that a bug affecting Dondozo’s Order Up move is also getting fixed, meaning its stats will no longer increase when the move is negated by Protect or another similar move.
That’s everything we know so far about the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet 1.2 patch notes. Check out our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet tera raid battles guide to find out which special tera Pokémon are coming to the game next.
