Genshin Impact’s Dainsleif may not make his playable debut for some time, but he’s certainly bolstered himself in the game’s lore. And, with our recent decent into the Chasm, he has once again shown his handsome, half-masked face. If you’re a fellow Dainsleif-wanter, make sure you keep this page bookmarked, as we will be sure to update it with any further information Hoyoverse releases on his element, release date, banner, or more.

Now, let’s take a look at everything you need to know about Genshin Impact’s Dainsleif.
Is there a Genshin Impact Dainsleif release date?
Unfortunately, we don’t know anything about Dainsleif’s release date or banner yet. However, it seems likely that he’ll be a playable character at some point, with how deeply he’s enshrined in the lore and how popular he’s become.
Additionally, during 2020’s Tokyo Games Show celebrating the game’s launch, Hoyoverse referred to Dainsleif as a ‘new character’, terminology which is generally only used to refer to playable characters. He also possesses a character card, which is another thing usually exclusive to playable characters.
So, keep your fingers crossed and your fates intertwined, and be sure to check back from time to time, as we’ll keep this page updated with any information as soon as we have it.
Who is Genshin Impact Dainsleif’s voice actor?
Dainsleif’s Japanese voice actor is Kenjiro Tsuda, who you may recognise as Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh or Luxu from Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue.
In English, Dainsleif’s voice actor is Yuri Lowenthal. Yuri is best known as the voice of Peter Parker in the most recent Spider-Man videogame, and Johnny in Final Fantasy VII Remake.
What is Genshin Impact Dainsleif’s element?
Much like Dainsleif’s release date, we currently don’t know what his element is. We know that he’s from Khaenri’ah, and has ties to the abyss. As such, there’s a chance that he could possess two elements, one Celestial and one Abyssal, much like Genshin Impact’s Childe.
So far we’ve only seen him use psychic abilities, something that has yet to surface in the game, and some fans have theorised that he may mark the introduction of light and dark powers.
However, so far, the only thing we know for sure is that he wields a sword. Of course, we’ll be sure to update this guide if any more information surfaces.
What should I know about Genshin Impact Dainsleif’s quest?
You encounter Dainsleif during the world quest titled ‘Bough Keeper: Dainsleif’. In this quest, he offers to accept commissions related to the Abyss Order, before he and Traveler go on a quest to track down an Abyss Herald. This quest acts as a prologue to Chapter I Act IV: We Will Be Reunited.
Additionally, Genshin Impact’s Dainsleif is a part of the new Archon Quest that came out alongside the Chasm in version 2.6. We’ll be sure to update this guide once we’ve explored his involvement – hopefully there will be some hints as to whether we can expect him to join our teams any time soon.
Do the answers to Genshin Impact Dainsleif’s questions matter?
During The Bough Keeper: Dainsleif quest, he will ask you a series of questions. As of writing, it seems the answer you choose doesn’t change anything, so feel free to choose whatever dialogue option you like best!
