Headlining June’s Nintendo Direct was a brand new trailer for the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC that is launching later this year. The trailer reveals more details about the Pokémon and people you can meet in each half of the DLC package. There are also new special Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Terastal Pokémon to discover.
The Scarlet and Violet DLC has the title The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, with part one set in the land of Kitakami and part two taking you on a foreign exchange trip to Blueberry Academy. Nintendo has used this two-part DLC model before with Pokémon Sword and Shield. Based on that DLC and what we know so far, it doesn’t look like owning Scarlet or Violet affects your experience of the DLC.
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is set to introduce you to two new legendary Pokémon, one for each part of the DLC, and give you the opportunity to catch more Pokémon from outside of Paldea’s Pokédex. There’s also the Loyal Three, a band of Pokémon rumored to protect Kitakami from an evil ogre.
When is the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC release date?
Part one, called The Teal Mask, is set to release in fall 2023. Part two, which is known as The Indigo Disk, will follow in winter 2023.
