What are Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gleeoks?
Those with a mind for Zelda lore know gleeoks from previous adventures, but those whose Hyrulian days began with Breath of the Wild might not. Gleeoks are three-headed dragons, offering a boss-level challenge that makes Lynels look like child’s play. Check out the headings below for all the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gleeoks we’ve found so far.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fire gleeok
Taking on this three-headed fire-breathing dragon is easier with the power of ice, so be sure to bring something that turns your arrows into frozen attacks to damage the fire gleeok quicker. In terms of locations, we’ve bumped into the fire gleeok on the Bridge of Hylia, but we’re on the lookout for more as we explore Hyrule.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom thunder gleeok
When heading into battle with the thunder gleeok, be sure to bring some wind-attribute weapons to blow the dragon out of the sky. You can find this thunderous beast just northwest of Martha’s Landing, waiting hidden between trees for your epic battle.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom frost gleeok
If you’re planning on taking on the frost gleeok, load up with fiery weapons before you do. We found the big bad dragon flying around the Gerudo Highlands, so do some gliding around the area and you should run into the gleeok ready for battle.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom king gleeok
With each of the king gleook’s heads belonging to a different attribute – thunder, ice, and fire – you need to arrive equipped for this battle with fire, ice, and wind weaponry. There are four king gleeoks across Hyrule, with three in the skies above Hebra, Necluda, and Gerudo, while the fourth waits in the depths.
How to beat Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gleeoks
To take down one of Tears of the Kingdom’s mighty gleeoks, your first step is to take to the skies. As gleeoks don’t join you on the ground until they’re on 25% health, or you stun them by hitting all three heads, the dragons fly around blasting elemental attacks at you. Beat the gleeoks at their own game by attacking from above, using an elemental arrow the specific gleeok is weak to, and then repeat until it lands. On the ground, use your best weapon to hammer the gleeok into smithereens.
