Everyone’s favorite moving tree is back! In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Hestu provides us with his handy dandy expansion service once more, giving us a place to spend the mountain of korok seeds we collect as we adventure around every nook and cranny of Hyrule. TotK Hestu’s voice actor is Cristina Vee, who fits the spritely role perfectly and brings the bouncy botanical boy to life.

So let’s branch out into our Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Hestu guide.
Who is Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Hestu?
Shakaaaa! TotK’s Hestu is the ‘Spirited Musician of the Korok Forest’, and doesn’t go anywhere without his trusty maracas. He’s essentially a very big version of a Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom korok, with a similar design, except he’s got a big leafy head that resembles a broccoli. As we first approach Hestu, he exclaims that we can see him, and gets very excited.
How to expand inventory in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Just like in Breath of the Wild, Hestu is the dude to go to in order to get a bigger carrying capacity. If you pay Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Hestu with some korok seeds, he can expand your weapon, shield, and bow stashes in your pouch. The more expansions you buy, the more expensive subsequent upgrades get, so don’t ignore those koroks you see in the overworld!
Tears of the Kingdom Hestu locations
Finding Hestu in Tears of the Kingdom is surprisingly easy in such a huge space, but we’ve made it even easier by noting down where you can find the musical man.
You can first find Hestu at Lindor’s Brow in Tears of the Kingdom, cowering in fear from something seemingly innocuous. Speak to him, and you get the Hestu’s Concerns quest. Turns out there are two moving trees in front of him that give chase, so we must slay them where they stand. Once that’s done, Hestu says he’s going eastward.
You can later find Hestu hanging around at Lookout Landing in Tears of the Kingdom, though no one appears to be able to see him, aside from Link. Hestu remains here until you unlock his next and final location. Fun fact, while he’s in the Landing, he wanders around and even looks at the shop.
The last place to find Hestu is the Korok Forest in Tears of the Kingdom. Once you find your way into the dense, foggy Lost Woods, make yourself known by fixing the area up and dispelling the gloom. Hestu heads back to the Korok Forest and hangs around in front of the Deku Tree when it’s safe to do so.
