Luum Textiles latest collection, Future Tense, was presented with a Best of NeoCon Editors’ Choice Award in the Textiles: Upholstery category — and won the Metropolis Likes NeoCon Awards.

Future Tense was the recipient of one of six Best of NeoCon Editors Choice Awards, and one of 34 new NeoCon products to receive Metropolis Likes in the 2019 competition.

The Luum Textiles collection was also an Honoree in the competition’s Workplace: Fabric + Textiles category.

“The presentation of one of only six Best of NeoCon Editors’ Choice Awards celebrating our new Future Tense collection is definitely one of the highlights of this year’s show,” said Dave White, Vice President of Luum Textiles. “It’s also an honor for us to be among the select few companies that Metropolis fêted with a Metropolis Likes NeoCon Awards. These awards pay tribute to the design and creative expertise of our Creative Director Suzanne Tick and her entire team.”

Suzanne Tick states that Future Tense harkens to past eras characterized by large graphic applications and the elevation of everyday materials.

The collection highlights a progressive approach to textile by using upholstery fabrics Schema, Macrotweed, Color Fuse and Tilt Shift, in addition to the Actuate multi-purpose fabric.

“We are extremely pleased that three of our new workplace furnishings collections were recognized in NeoCon 2019 new product competitions,” said Charlie Bell, President, Studio TK. “These awards are a tribute to the outstanding work exhibited by some of the noted designers we have been fortunate to work with, including Luke Pearson, Tom Lloyd, Flemming Busk, Stephan Hertzog and Mario Ruiz. These new products enable us to pursue our exclusive focus on social applications, and create spaces that are responsive to all the ways we work and all that our work demands.”
