The 2002 Grand Prize winner in the DuPont Benedictus Awards for the architectural use of laminated glass was Dirk Jan Postrel of the Netherlands for the Temple of Love near Avallon, France, a transformation of a classic building into a summer residence. Jean-Marie Duthilleul, Franois Bonnefille and Etienne Tricaud of France won in the commercial buildings category for the TGV station in Avignon, France. Int he community buildings category, Franck Hammoutne of France won for the Notre Dame de Pentecte church in Paris La Dfense. In the public buildings category, Kiyoshi Sakurai, Tadashi Yamane, Ken Yoshimura, Shigeru Yoshino and Nikken Seikkei Ltd. won for a project for the National Museum of New Sciences in Tokyo.
