Apple is raising the price of its iPhone battery replacement by $20 on March 1, 2023, for all models except the iPhone 14 line of phones. This change brings older models close to the current battery replacement price for the 14 of $99.
As noticed by 9 to 5 Mac, the Apple website for iPhone battery replacement recently added this disclaimer: “The current out-of-warranty battery service fee will apply until the end of February 2023. Effective March 1, 2023, the out-of-warranty battery service fee will be increased by $20 for all iPhone models prior to iPhone 14.”
It currently costs different amounts to get a battery replacement from Apple. For example, the cost will rise from $49 to $69 for the iPhone 6 Plus, while iPhone 13 models get a price increase from $69 to $89. If you have an iPhone with a ropey battery, now’s the time to sort it.
