Metal heroes are set to join the frightening fray in Behaviour Interactive’s horror title, with the Dead By Daylight Iron Maiden and Slipknot crossover. Not only that but everyone’s favorite self-aware actor Nicholas Cage is set to join the ranks as a playable character too. So you break out the fine china, chill the lemonade, and tie a yellow ribbon around the old oak tree, cause Cagey is coming home to one of our picks for the best horror games on Switch.
Behaviour Interactive announced the collab during the annual Dead By Daylight update, the Slipknot and Iron Maiden collaborations introduce some fresh cosmetics into this horror title. The Iron Maiden costumes concentrate on Eddie, the British metal band’s iconic mascot whose zombified face fits perfectly in the world of DBD. Meanwhile, Slipknot’s full line-up of masks is available to pick up, so you can play pretend as your favourite member of the nine-piece line-up.
The update announcement also revealed the next chapter of the horror title, End Transmission, giving the series a sci-fi spin with an out-of-this-world alien planet setting. Here, you take on the Singularity, a Cronenberg-esque combination of organic and man-made lifeforms determined to take out anything in its way. In case you can’t guess, it’s you, you’re in its way, and it’s going to do something about it.
In terms of Cage’s in-game arrival, we’re going to have to wait until July 5 to find out more. There’s a trailer, though, so check out the footage below to see Cage as he’s set to appear in-game.
