Splatoon 3 brought with it many returning features. There are a bunch of weapons back from the first game, as well as certain stages. If you cast your mind back to the days of the Wii U, the original Splatoon had a stage called Mahi Mahi Resort.
And, as I’m sure you can guess, Mahi Mahi Resort returned recently, leading the developer to put in a heartwarming Splatoon jellyfish love-story easter egg. Spotted by VoltoMatte on Twitter, it really might be enough to bring a tear to your eye.
As you can see in the tweet, pictured below, there’s a small white gazebo on the outskirts of Mahi Mahi resort. In the original Splatoon, there are a couple of jellyfish in white clothes that look like they’re getting married. Well, if there was ever any doubt, there’s none now. The marriage is a success!
In Splatoon 3, this jellyfish love story gets its second instalment, with the happy couple clearly partying with a couple of tiny baby jellyfish. One big happy family. What a lovely sight.
That’s all the romance for today. Until we get another Splatoon jellyfish tale to tell, check out our Splatoon 3 codes for all the latest freebies.
