Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Lookout Landing
What is Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Lookout Landing?
Lookout Landing is a new location in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Several years after Breath of the Wild, a small settlement is now positioned in front of Hyrule Castle. Purah and Robbie from Hateno Village are in charge of Lookout Landing, and Purah is leading research into Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom towers.
Purah gives you the paraglider shortly after you land on the surface, helping Link to launch into the air, and glide to various locations. You also begin several key quests by talking to characters in Lookout Landing, including a quest from Robbie that earns you the camera ability.
How do I unlock the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Lookout Landing emergency shelter?
It’s easy to miss, but below the centre of Lookout Landing is a secret area called the emergency shelter. Once you complete the first tower tutorial and can freely walk around Lookout Landing, go and talk to the character called Scorpis in the middle of the settlement. Scorpio has a goatee and a ponytail, and is holding a spear.
Once Scorpis finishes talking about the Gorons, he opens the passage known as the emergency shelter for you, and Link can dive down to interact with several characters and objects.
Where is the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Goddess Statue?
You can find the Lookout Landing goddess statue in the emergency shelter. Once you open up the underground area, send Link into the shelter, and the goddess statue is visible to the southeast of the room (-0242, 0086, 0009).
How do I unlock the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Royal hidden passage in Lookout Landing?
In the emergency shelter, there is a secret passage. You unlock this after completing one of the first major dungeons. In there, you can talk to the granter of boons, a bargainer statue, to trade hearts for stamina and vice versa – at the measly cost of 20 rupees.
Within this passage there’s tons of breakable walls, so come prepared with rock-breaking equipment. In there are lots of goodies, most notably various bits of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom armor. Check out that guide for the locations therein.
Eventually, the Tears of the Kingdom Royal hidden passage leads you all the way to Hyrule Castle. It’s full of treasures to find, but also a lot of tough and hidden enemies. Don’t go in unprepared, lured by the gleam of fresh loot.
