Endless runners are synonymous with mobile gaming, offering a fun, fast-paced experience that lasts as long as you can survive. They’re great for bite-sized bits of gaming, but for those who have mastered the art of running endlessly, there’s always the hope of there being something more to the genre.
Enter Ninja Must Die, a new take on the endless runner which keeps the simplicity of the genre while adding in new features, like skill-based combat, RPG mechanics, and even multiplayer. This won’t be like any other endless runner you’ve played before.
Developer Pandada Games has enhanced the experience, making this a feature-complete adventure that can rival the most immersive mobile games on the market, with players slicing and dicing their way through enemies while still avoiding deadly obstacles and traps. Join us as we venture into this exciting new ninja adventure.
Way of the ninja
From the moment you start Ninja Must Die, it’s clear that this is an entirely new, expansive experience. For starters, there’s now a gripping story to enjoy, centred around the conflict between ninja and samurai. The game’s art style, inspired by East Asian ninja culture, creates a unique feel, while the exquisitely animated cutscenes set the tone for the thrilling action to come.
As you progress through the beautiful world of Ninja Must Die, you’ll find yourself at the start of a conflict after 300 years of peace between ninjas and samurai. You’ll take the side of the ninjas, who were formerly partnered with the samurai until the latter became weak and corrupt, and started to fear the ninjas and their immense power. But there is an even greater danger in the form of the Oni, mystical demons that have been sealed away in the Shinnin Mountain using ancient artefacts – though now there are rumours spreading that the Oni King may be resurrected and the threat will soon return.
Ready for action
The core of Ninja Must Die is its ultra-fast-paced side-scrolling action. Avoid obstacles and deadly creatures as you run, flip, slide, and jump through the creative courses and shoot for the fastest time possible. You won’t always have to avoid dangers, however. You can engage in ninja combat with your trusty sword, or acquire a range of new weapons via summoning and as you progress through the Newbie Quests.
But conventional weapons aren’t the only tools of destruction you can use in Ninja Must Die. You can also enlist the help of powerful summons – legendary creatures that can appear out of thin air to help you destroy your enemies. The first of these summons is a fearsome black dragon that you can ride in thrilling flying levels. Summons can be gained by defeating them in battle, but be careful, they won’t be easy to take down. The rewards will certainly be worth it though! Who knows what other terrifying creatures you can enlist on your journey?
Mission possible
On top of the immersive main story mode, there are plenty of missions to complete as well. These include Daily Quests and longer, overarching Main Quests that can add significant depth to the overall experience. Daily login rewards will also give you extra incentive to keep up your adventuring.
Want a greater challenge? Get stuck into Ninja Trials, a new additional mode that presents heightened combat challenges for seasoned warriors. Complete these missions to increase your ninja rank from Rookie to the heights of mastery. As you go, you’ll unlock some incredible rewards to outfit your ninja with.
And you don’t have to play alone either. You can team up with two friends to take on multiplayer challenges against three rival ninjas, proving yourselves as the top ninjas around the world. You and your squad will race to complete levels before your opponents, and take down ferocious bosses to truly show off your skills. It’ll be tough, but with your ninja buddies by your side, you’re sure to win.
Ninja Must Die is available to download right now on iOS and Android, so don’t wait! Be sure to redeem a free gift with code NINJA777 for a reward which will be available from the in-game mailbox, unlocked after completing Level 3, Chapter 2.
