The ultrahand ability is capturing the imagination of gamers everywhere, but engineering a Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom music box is something we didn’t anticipate. Nevertheless, we’ve started to see all kinds of ingenious ways of creating sweet little melodies using Zonai equipment, and as ever, we’re seriously impressed. Maybe we can add Tears of the Kingdom to our list of music games now?
After Twitter user @maxotunes shared a clip showcasing how Zonai lasers create a pitch when passing through Zonai stakes, those with a musical mindset have been testing out the possibilities with some sonic experimentation. The creations aren’t quite as impressive as Tears of the Kingdom’s epic score, but hey, we’re here for the creativity.
The best Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom music machine we’ve seen so far is from another Twitterer, @bran8bit, who managed to make a convincing version of the main melody line from Undertale’s iconic Megalovania. They did this with further Zonai innovation, realizing you can stick stakes together to create different notes, before lining them up to belt out the tune as the laser passes through.
If you want to try your hand at creating your own Zonai tunes, you’re going to need a big wheel, a couple of beam emitters, and a whole bunch of stakes. You can check out the clip below to see how YouTuber Yoshi Explori sets up their music tools, but of course, there’s plenty of room to add your own ideas to the mix.
With that, you’re up to date on the community creating some Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom music devices using Zonai tech.
