Netmarble has posted its Q3 2022 financial earnings, showing $547.50 million in revenue. Overseas sales accounted for 83% ($456.86 million) of total global sales, and the company reported an operating loss of $30 million, with a net loss of $218.75 million.
The company put this struggle down to increased costs, rising exchange rates, and underperforming game launches. Given Netmarble’s financial earnings have been pretty impressive in the past, global economic turndown combined with game delays for the company have clearly had an impact.
In spite of this, Young-sig Kown, CEO of Netmarble, is positive: “We’re optimistic we can drive improved results and strengthen Netmarble’s competitive edge with the The King of Fighters Arena and Charlotte’s Table launches in Q4 and participation in global game shows, beginning with Korea’s G-STAR in November, where we will preview an array of upcoming titles, including Solo Leveling: Arise and Arthdal Chronicles, as well as anticipated PC titles Paragon: The Overprime and HypeSquad.”
