A lot of us gamers lament the loss of 90s and early 2000s titles, along with preferring physical copies so no evil internet mess-ups can cause loss of saves. That’s where Limited Run comes in with the release of a physical Castlevania Advance Collection, featuring some of the best Switch metroidvanias.
The Castlevania Advance Collection includes four games – Circle of the Moon, Dracula X, Harmony of Dissonance, and Aria of Sorrow. Three of these titles are originally Game Boy Advance games, whereas Dracula X is a SNES title resurrected once again to a modern platform.
The collection costs just $34.99, and orders open on Friday, July 28th. You can pick which of the four games you’d like as the cover art on your edition, too – which is a very nice touch.
This isn’t the first time Limited Run worked with Castlevania titles, either. Previously, there was a Switch case, playing cards, and PlayStation physical releases available, but this is the first Switch game from the series.
Limited Run games specialize in physical releases (including collector’s editions) of smaller, digital, games such as Nobody Saves the World, Good Pizza, Great Pizza, and the Strife Veteran Edition to name a few.
We’re super glad when any Switch game comes out with a physical release that isn’t just a code in a box. In fact, we wrote a feature about it – peruse our thoughts on the Nintendo Switch’s code-in-a-box problem.
