Great news, trainers! The Pokémon Company has announced a Pokémon Presents stream for February 27, Pokémon Day, with plenty of speculation circulating as to what we might receive. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC? A new Legends game? Or maybe even a remake?! As ever, the possibilities feel endless.
The Pokémon Presents 2023 stream is set to take place at 6:00 PST/9:00 EST/14:00 GMT live on the official Pokémon YouTube channel. Last year’s Pokémon Presents gave us our first glimpse at Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and with no main series game or spin-off on the horizon, we’re hoping we might get something to look forward to again. Personally, I’d love a Pokémon Legends: Deoxys with a strong space vibe, but hey, I’ll take what I can get.
One of the pieces of information we’re expecting from the Pokémon Presents showcase is news on an update to Pokémon Home so that it functions alongside Scarlet and Violet. Many of you are patiently waiting to transfer your rare Pokémon and shinies over to the latest generation, and hopefully, you won’t have too long to wait.
Many are hoping that this Pokémon Presents arriving shortly after Nintendo introduced GBA emulation on Switch means that some of the Advance-era titles might arrive on the platform. I personally would jump for joy at the chance to play Pokémon Emerald with online battles, but I’m not going to aim my sights too high. We’ve been disappointed before.
