Let’s dive into our Pokémon Go Rayquaza guide.
How do I catch Pokémon Go Rayquaza?
In Pokémon Go, Rayquaza is only available in five-star raids. To catch Rayquaza, you must find a raid featuring the legendary creature, go to battle, defeat it, and then catch it. As a legendary Pokémon, Rayquaza is very strong. Therefore, we recommend that you enter raids with other trainers (at least four), and use Pokémon that counter Rayquaza well. You can find our list of Rayquaza counters below.
What is Pokémon Go Rayquaza’s raid schedule?
Pokémon Go’s Rayquaza was last available in five-star raids from February 22, 2023 (10:00 local time) until March 1, 2023 (10:00 local time). We will update this guide when Rayquaza returns to raids.
How do I catch shiny Rayquaza in Pokémon Go?
Like most Pokémon, Rayquaza has a chance of appearing in its shiny form when you encounter it in Pokémon Go. While the regular shiny rate is 0.2% (1 in 500), when discovering legendary Pokémon in raids the shiny rate increases to 5% (1 in 20). So, to find and catch shiny Rayquaza, enter as many raids as possible and rub your lucky rabbit foot to try and boost those odds.
