The Asus ROG Ally is launching in June to take on the Steam Deck in the crowded handheld PC market. It features exciting-looking specs and a reasonable price point, though who knows if it can actually compete.
With AMD Ryzen Z1 and 1080p 120Hz LCD display, it looks like it should be a luxurious handheld. It’s pretty similar to the latest Ayaneo, which you can read about in our Ayaneo 2 review – though that portable’s price point is far beyond the Ally’s.
Pre-orders for the Asus ROG Ally are now live at places like Best Buy, with the console starting at $600 (£699), it’s pricier than the base Steam Deck – but packs a bigger punch at the same time. You can check out the full launch event below.
When is the Asus ROG Ally release date?
The Asus ROG Ally launches on June 13, 2023. Configurations start at 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the extreme model comes with 16GB RAM and 51GB storage.
