A new bonkers multiplayer game is zooming to Switch – the Manic Mechanics release date is set for later this summer and it’s got our engines running already. We think it might be one of this year’s best party games.
If you’ve not heard of 4J Studios, then it may surprise you to learn it’s the brains behind bringing Minecraft to console which is a huge achievement – so you know it’s got some tricks up its sleeve.
Manic Mechanics is 4J’s first self-published title and looks like a cross between Overcooked, KeyWe, and a mechanics garage. Up to four players can work together to fix up as many old bangers as they can on Octane Isle, from trucks to tractors and many more vehicles.
There’s both local and online co-op options so you can play with anyone you like to prove your worth as a band of traveling mechanics worthy of joining the coveted guild.
When is the Manic Mechanics release date?
The mechanical mayhem of Manic Mechanics lands on Nintendo Switch on July 13, 2023.
Beware, though – hazards like electrified water, UFOs, and slippy oil patches loom in the levels to trip you up as you tinker with cars and aim to get them working again. There are five areas to explore, each littered with its own set of challenges to bring out your strengths as a wrench-wielding tradie.
