It’s time to lace up your boots and get ready for a kickabout, with a Button City, Soccer Days release date window arriving in 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PC, and other consoles. This sport-orientated sequel to Button City sees Fennel the fox and his animal pals delve into the world of soccer, and while they’re not quite playing at an MLS standard, it certainly looks like they’re having fun. Better still, we’re going to get a cute new entry for our list of football games.
Following on from Subliminal’s adorable debut, Button City, Soccer Days isn’t exactly the sort of sequel we were anticipating from the narrative adventure of the first game. Still, we’re plenty excited about taking some free kicks with Fennel and the gang, and with a story mode, free play, and a local multiplayer mode, there are multiple ways to get in the game.
It’s clear there’s plenty of excitement at the studio for this upcoming cozy title, with Ryan Woodward, Co-Founder of Subliminal Gaming, telling us, “This charming continuation is sure to delight first-time visitors and everyone making their return to Button City”. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited to make the trip back to my favorite low-poly pastel world.
