PowerWash Simulator is smashing its growing sequence of crossovers, adding Spongebob Squarepants to its roster with a new Spongebob Squarepants Special Pack DLC coming this summer to Nintendo Switch. The ‘sea-cret’ is out – don’t blame us for that pun, Power Wash Sim made it themselves – as the ocean-fresh Spongebob Squarepants-themed DLC releases summer 2023, bringing new levels, cosmetics, and plenty of nautical nonsense to the intense cleaning game.
We’ve only got a small glimpse of the collaboration between Nickelodeon and FuturLab so far, in this ten-second clip on the official Power Wash Sim Twitter. The snippet shows a new power-washing gun themed like buildings and technology in Bikini Bottom, along with Squidward, Patrick, and Spongebob’s classic houses covered in a thick film of muck.
We expect to see more levels than the houses, hopefully including the Krusty Krab or the Chum Bucket – those deep sea places definitely need a deep clean by now! Perhaps Sandy’s Treedome or Ms Puff’s driving school could make appearances too – there’s an ocean of possibilities here.
Let’s not get bogged down on the physics of power washing things underwater – we already know that fires can burn in Bikini Bottom. Instead, let us eagerly await more details on the Spongebob Squarepants Special Pack as it makes its way to Switch and all other major platforms this summer.
