While Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 owners may already have their hands on The Witcher 3 update, Switch owners have to wait. The new DLC quest bundled in with the graphical upgrades coming to the beefier consoles is meant to come to Nintendo’s hybrid, but there’s no release date set.
Sure, there are no visual changes, but any fans of the series who only have a Nintendo Switch are likely to want to check out the new items and quest. In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Ryu Underhill, producer for the next-gen update, said, “I can say that we are working hard to bring it to players as soon as we can. Rest assured we will share more information when we are able to.”
So, all that’s certain is that it’s coming, but it’s anyone’s guess as to when. Considering it’s only “about half an hour’s worth, plus a bit more for a follow-up step” according to Eurogamer, it’s not the biggest loss. Still, it would’ve been nice to try the new nonsense alongside everyone else.
When is The Witcher 3 Switch update release date?
There’s no release date set for The Witcher 3’s new content to come to the Nintendo Switch. All we know is that CD Projekt Red is “working hard to bring it to players as soon as [it] can”, according to the update’s producer. Check out the trailer for it below.
